Faces of Kinnaur

The Land Between Heaven and Earth

Local legend states that Kinnaur's charms fell from the heaven as a gift from the gods, and its not hard to see why.
Snow capped peaks glisten in the early morning sun. The sweet age old prayers of Om Mani Padme Hum bellow out of loud speakers and drift away into the vastness. Ragged children with wild locks run and laugh and play. The only sound one hears is the leaves rustling in the hot summer wind.
Cracked lines are carved into timeless faces. Humble. Innocent. Wild.
These are the people of the Kinnaur Valley.
Their spirits stand as tall and as proud as the majestic Himalayas.
